Mo. man found dead in Little River arrived in Knoxville by Greyhound

Officials say they now know how a Missouri man whose body was found in the Little River arrived in Knoxville.

The Blount County Sheriff's Office says Lance Michael Larson arrived in Knoxville on a Greyhound bus on February 18th. His body was discovered on March 14.

Officers still don't know why Larson was in Tennessee.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Blount County Sheriff's Office.

Officials in Virginia have found the car of a Missouri man who died in East Tennessee.

Deputies pulled the body of 29-year-old Lance Michael Larson out of the Little River in Rockford last week.

Larson's car was found in Roanoke, Virginia.

Officials still aren't sure why he was in East Tennessee.

A body found in the Little River Thursday has been identified as Lance Michael Larson, 29, of O'Fallon, Missouri.

Sheriff's deputies say the cause of death is still under investigation.

The Criminal Investigation Division is asking for help from anyone who has seen or spoken to Larson in the last few weeks. Officials say the last time he was in contact with his family in O'Fallon was around February 20th. They say he had traveled to Lynchburg, Virginia, and had told his parents he was headed back to Missouri. Investigators are not sure why he was in the Rockford area.

Officials are looking for Larson's vehicle, a tan 2003 Kia Spectra 4-door with a Missouri registration CF1S9R.

Anyone with information about Larson, or anyone who has seen or spoken to him since February 19th is asked to call the Blount County Communications Center at (865) 983-3620.

The discovery of a body in Blount County has investigators puzzled.

The Blount County Sheriff's Office says the TWRA found the body before 8 o'clock Thursday evening in the water off Old Knoxville Highway near Roddy Branch Road.

The sheriff's office could only say the victim was male. They do not yet know how he died.
