Three Knoxville restaurants will pay out nearly $30,000 to workers. It's money the federal government says the men and women should have received a long time ago.
The case involves Don Gallo, Las Limas Mexican Restaurant, and Don Gallo Mexican Cuisine.
The Department of Revenue claims the restaurants worked employees long hours without overtime. Some workers also were making less than minimum wage.
In all, 43 workers will receive back pay.
