Following a legend like Pat Summitt isn't easy, but Holly Warlick has made a seamless transition in her first year with the Tennessee Lady Vols.
The Women's Basketball Coaches Association named Warlick one of eight finalists for its Division I Coach of the Year.
Warlick led the Lady Vols to the regular season SEC Championship and has them in the NCAA Sweet 16 as a rookie head coach.

The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced today the eight 2013 RUSSELL ATHLETIC/WBCA NCAA Division I Regional Coaches of the Year, all of whom are finalists for the 2013 RUSSELL ATHLETIC/WBCA NCAA Division I National Coach of the Year Award.

- Region 3 - Holly Warlick, University of Tennessee
- Region 4 - Tricia Cullop, University of Toledo
- Region 5 - Kim Mulkey, Baylor University

- Region 7 - Beth Burns, San Diego State University
- Region 8 - Tara VanDerveer, Stanford University
The 2013 RUSSELL ATHLETIC/WBCA NCAA Division I National Coach of the Year will be named during the third annual WBCA Awards Show on Monday, April 8, in New Orleans. This event is part of the WBCA National Convention and is held in conjunction with the NCAA® Women's Final Four®.
"The WBCA and its members congratulate these eight coaches on being named finalists for the 2013 RUSSELL ATHLETIC/WBCA NCAA Division I National Coach of the Year Award," said WBCA CEO Beth Bass. "Each coach was selected by their peers and is deserving of this honor."

RUSSELL ATHLETIC and the WBCA present the national coach of the year award annually in each of the five WBCA membership divisions (NCAA Divisions I, II and III; NAIA; junior/community college and high school).
