Girl Scout cookie fanatics got a different taste of their favorite treats on Friday as part of the second annual Cookies and Cocktails fundraiser.
Chefs from various area restaurants created different dishes inspired by Girl Scout cookies.
The cocktail party helps to celebrate valuable life skills Girl Scouts learn from selling their cookies.
"We love the creativity we see from year to year with some of the dishes, and it's just a fun relaxed atmosphere. We've got the Old City Buskers playing music and we're really just celebrating not only the cookie season, but what girls learn participating in the cookie program," said Booth Kammann, CEO of the Girl Scout Council of the Southern Appalachians.
Tickets for Friday's events were $50, and all proceeds benefit area Girl Scouts.
