Johnson starts first at Martinsville

Martinsville, Virginia, has been a mixed bag for NASCAR owner Rick Hendrick.

A Hendrick plane crashed going to Martinsville in 2004, killing all 10 aboard, including members of Hendrick's family.  Jimmie Johnson won the race that day.

Johnson will start from the pole at Martinsville this Sunday for the STP Gas Booster 500.  Half of the top six cars in the field are Hendricks cars.
