We're hearing from a man whose accidental 911 call landed him behind bars.
Police arrested 33-year-old Aaron Thompson at an Athens home after he pocket dialed 911. Dispatchers say they could hear Thompson yelling about marijuana and methadone.
Part of the recording says, "I'm looking for my methadone box. I'm sitting here waiting for you to smoke a joint."
When police arrived, they say they found generic Xanax on Thompson, and arrested him on drug charges.
When asked about his arrest, Thompson told WRCB-TV in Chattanooga that he couldn't talk about the incident, but he did say, "I have a prescription for my medication. The DA told me they're going to throw it out; it's gonna be thrown out of court."
Police say Thompson did not show them a prescription during the arrest. They say the 911 call was open until an officer hinted to Thompson that it was his phone that called 911.
