TBI charges 2 men in Crossville drive-by shooting

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation charged two men with attempted murder, following a drive-by shooting in Cumberland County Sunday night.

Authorities said Ken Carr McGee, 33, was shot once in the abdomen and was airlifted to a local hospital.

Officials said Danny Bilyeu, 36, of Crossville shot at a house in Crossville and the injured the victim. Another adult and two children were inside the home when the shooting occurred.

According to a TBI release, Nathaniel Payne, 31, of Crossville was in the car with Bilyeu when the shooting happened. Authorities have charged Bilyeu with attempted first degree murder and criminal attempt. Payne faces charges of criminal responsibility for attempted first degree murder and criminal responsibility for criminal attempt.

Both Bilyeu and Payne are being housed in the Cumberland County Jail without bond.
