Dine out for Education

Nearly 40 Knoxville restaurants with 80 locations throughout Knox County will participate in the 10th annual Knox County Schools "Dine Out For Education
All participants have to do is eat at participating restaurants on April 16, and 10% of their pre-tax total will be donated to the Knox County Schools Partners in Education program. Proceeds raised from the 2013 Dine Out For Education event will be used to help fund Partners in Education programs, such as the annual Knox County Schools Career Day for eighth graders and high school students, Teacher Supply Depot, Schooled for Success, Barney Thompson scholarships, and various teacher recognition programs.

Roane State's Playmakers will present "Tartuffe" by Moliere April 18-21 and April 25-28 at the college's O'Brien Theatre on the main campus in Harriman.
Show times are April 18-20, 7 p.m.; April 21, 2 p.m.; April 25-27, 7 p.m.; and April 28, 2 p.m.
General admission is $10, and student tickets are $7. Tickets are sold at the door.
Walking for Boston
Area runners and walkers are invited to come to West Hills Park on April 16 at 7:30pm to walk a collective 26.2 miles to honor those affected by the Boston tragedy.
Geography Bee Contestant
Adithyan Sujithkumar is at 7th grade student at Robertsville Middle School who will take part in the National Geography Bee May 20-22 in Washington, D.C.
