21 teenage finalists will compete for $1,500 scholarships in different categories: male acting, female acting, female singing, male singing and creative writing.

Love Worth Fighting For

Wallace Memorial Baptist Church will host a "Love Worth Fighting For" marriage conference on Saturday, April 20 from 6 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

The event includes teaching from Kirk Cameron and music by Warren Barfield.

VIP tickets cost $35 per person and general admission is $22.50 per person. Tickets cost $25 each at the door. Groups of 10 people or more can receive a discounted rate of $20 per person.

Kids Helping Kids Fun Walk

The 15th annual Kids Helping Kids FunWalk will be held Sunday, April 21 from 1:30 p.m. - 4 p.m. at Knoxville Catholic High School. The walk will go on rain or shine. The event will move indoors if it rains.

The walk is a fundraiser hosted by Catholic Charities of East Tennessee for Columbus Children's Services.

In addition to the walk, other family activities include a kid's original art show, games, face painting, inflatables, music and free food and water.

Individual registration costs $20 at the event. Families may register for $35.

Verdi's Requiem

The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra presents Verdi's "Messa da Requiem" at the Tennessee Theatre.
