A ministry is celebrating 10 years of helping people along the road to recovery.
Over the past decade, Celebrate Recovery Ministry at Cokesbury United Methodist Church has touched thousands of lives.
Thursday night, the program marked the milestone through worship and dinner. The ministry uses the Bible to help recovering addicts move through the 12-step program.
Its director Mark Beebe says they welcome everybody with open arms.
"This is a safe place to be. It's a place to come and have some dinner with some people you will get to know. It's a place to come to be with people that you're going to discover that are very much like you, that really understand you, that understand what's going on in your life, some of the struggles you have been having, a high level of acceptance here," he said.
Recovery Ministry visits correctional facilities and KARM. The ministry plans to expand to other locations including Maryville and Chattanooga.
