Federal prosecutors are asking to drop one of the three criminal charges against the trio who broke into Y-12 last July.
Michael Walli, Megan Rice and Greg Boertje-Obed are the defendants. The protesters have repeatedly admitted they broke into Y-12 and spray-painted peace messages and splashed human blood on a storage facility for bomb-grade uranium.
The reason the feds want to drop one charge is they don't feel like they can prove they have they have the jurisdiction to prosecute them.
