A pilot continues to recover after he crash landed a small plane.
The Knox County Sheriff's Office says Quentin Elkins took off from Downtown Island airport, lost power, then crashed on west Martin Mill Pike just after 6:00 pm Thursday
10News talked with Quentin's father Friday. He says his son is still at UT Medical Center with a broken leg.
Joe Elkins says Quentin's leg is swollen, but he is in good spirits.
Quentin told his dad everything checked out on the single engine Beechcraft before he took off, but as he was climbing, the plane started shuttering and the engine lost power.
Joe Elkins says his son should be able to go home by Saturday.
