A Morgan County deputy is in the hospital and six people are facing charges after an investigation involving two meth labs.

Around noon, deputies went to a home on Northrup Road to follow up on a tip about a meth lab.  When they arrived, they found an active lab and some finished product in the home.

They arrested two people, but a third suspect ran off.  Deputies chased them, and one of the officers was injured.  Officials will not say how he was hurt, but say his injuries are not life threatening.

Paramedics took him to Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.

Officers established a perimeter and eventually caught the suspect, Dennis Carroll, and took him into custody as well.

While investigating the first meth lab, deputies located a second one nearby.  Officers are working to decontaminate the sites.
