Worlds Fair Park was full of tents Friday night, but it wasn't your usual camp out.
KARM held their second annual Camp Out For Homeless on the World's Fair Park lawn. Dozens of people spent the night outside to raise money and awareness for Knoxville's homeless community. A camping spot on the lawn cost $20 for the night.
One camper decided to move her birthday party to the camp out because raising money for KARM is important to her.
"We have a bunch of stuff and we should be thankful that God gave us that stuff and there's other people that don't have anything and when we complain about things that we don't have we should be thinking about people that don't have anything," said Taylor Melgaard.
KARM houses about 400 people each night and provides almost 1,000 meals daily.
