On Friday, family, friends and fellow law enforcement laid a Lenoir City police officer to rest.

Detective Jonathan Sartin, 48, died unexpectedly at his home Monday morning.

Sartin worked for the department for 26 years.  He was also the city's youth baseball commissioner, and served as an umpire for the last 20 years.

Sartin was laid to rest Friday morning at the Loudon County Memorial Gardens, with full honors, including bagpipes, a 21 gun salute, taps, and a flyover by helicopters.

The procession was made up of dozens of police cars from several departments, in addition to Sartin's friends and family.
