Knoxville Police have released the names of the UT students who were involved in a serious accident early Tuesday morning.

The driver of the 2000 Jeep Cherokee that plunged 150 feet down an embankment is Walter Hills, 19, of Jackson.  He received minor injuries.  KPD officers found him walking around the SUV after the accident.

LiJoyce Bridges, 29, of Humboldt, was ejected from the SUV during the crash.  She received life threatening injuries and is in critical condition at UT Medical Center.

Another passenger, Kristen Molnar, 18, of Lemont, IL, was also transported to UT for treatment of what appeared to be minor injuries.  She has since been discharged.

No charges have been filed, but KPD says charges are pending after the conclusion of the investigation.

A spokesperson for UT says all three students are freshmen who live in campus residence halls. Molner and Hill are biological management majors.  Bridges is in business management.
