It's going to look like a full-scale emergency. But it's just a drill.
Wednesday afternoon, starting at 3:05 pm, the U.S. Postal Service, along with Knoxville first responders, will hold an Emergency Evacuation and Response Exercise at the Knoxville Mail Processing & Distribution Center on Weisgarber Road.
You will see police officers, firefighters, and other emergency workers at the post office until around 6:30 pm, as the go through the drill. They will be practicing what to do in the case of an actual biohazard alert.
The USPS says there will be an interruption of service for up to 45 minutes during the drill.
