Three armed robbers faked a break-down on the side of the road to lure their victims.

Greene County Sheriff Steve Burns says the trio parked a faded red late 80's to early 90's GMC Jimmy/Chevrolet S-10 Blazer SUV on the side of Asheville Highway Saturday evening.  The hood was up, and a woman holding what appeared to a be a baby was trying to flag down passing motorists.

When someone stopped around 6:00 pm, the man who was with the woman and a another man who'd been sitting in the SUV approached the victims with guns and demanded their money.

After the robbery, the three got in the SUV and drove away.

All three suspects were white.  One of the men was 5'9" tall, had dirty blonde hair, and was 19-20 years old.  The other men was 5'10" with a stocky build, and was 20-25 years old.  The woman had dirty blonde hair.
