Tennessee football coach Butch Jones said the quarterback competition will carry over into fall practice to include some incoming freshmen.
Jones talked about his team, recruiting, his background and his family in a one-on-one conversation with WBIR Sports Director Steve Phillips.
NCAA rules prohibit speaking by name about recruits, but Jones was clearly pleased that in-state stars such as Todd Kelly, Jr., and Jalen Hurd have chosen the Vols.
"December 7 I walked into the Peyton Manning locker room and talked about that we were going to win first and foremost with players from the great state of Tennessee," said Jones.
