(WBIR- Knoxville) President Obama has nominated a Knoxville attorney to be a federal judge.

Pamela Reeves currently works at the law firm Reeves, Herbert and Anderson.

She was the first female president of the Tennessee Bar Association, and last year she was appointed to serve as a mediator in a class-action lawsuit over the TVA coal ash spill.

If confirmed by the Senate, Reeves would replace retiring Judge Thomas Phillips.
