A free prostate clinic this weekend offers a potentially life-saving test for East Tennessee men.
According to the Centers for Disease Control, prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. In 2009, more than 206,000 men in the US were diagnosed with prostate cancer. More than 28,000 died.
Saturday, St. Patrick Church in Morristown is sponsoring a free prostate clinic to all men in surrounding counties. It's made possible with grant money through UT Medical Center.
Dr. Wesley White from UT Medical Center will be performing free PSA blood tests at the clinic. He joined us in the 10News studio for more information about the event and why screenings are so important.
