Downtown Knoxville transformed into a southern kitchen Saturday to celebrate the fourth annual biscuit festival.
The smell of freshly baked bread filled the air.
Thousands of people enjoyed a staple of southern cuisine, sweet and savory biscuits.
A wide array of flavored biscuits filled Market Square.
Flavors ranged from garlic and cheese "bo-nuts", a biscuit take on doughnuts, and even more exotic tasty treats such as shrimp.
Organizers said they expected even more people than last year's attendance of more than 25,000 people.
