The trial of a Greene County man who is accused of shooting his police officer father to death will be moved to another county.
Ethan Self is charged with first-degree murder in the 2010 death of 46-year-old Roger Self, who was a sergeant with the Greeneville Police Department.
Officials say Ethan Self used his father's gun to kill him while he slept on a couch. He was an 18-year-old high school senior at the time.
The prosecutor in the case says Special Judge Jon Kerry Blackwood granted a change of venue Friday. The case will be heard in Hawkins County by a Hawkins County jury in August.
