Prince Edward, one of Queen Elizabeth's sons, is in Nashville promoting one of the royal family's major charities for youth, the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
The award honors teens who showcase outstanding community service, skills, fitness and character-building.
Governor Haslam hosted the prince at a private ceremony at the governor's mansion to honor this year's winners. Thursday evening, the prince attended a black tie royal gala to benefit the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
This is the first time Prince Edward has visited Nashville since 2004.
