Three people are facing charges after a mountaintop removal protest in downtown Knoxville.

Knoxville police say Ricki Draper of Greensboro, North Carolina, Julia Lepping of Louisville, Kentucky, and a teenage boy went to the UBS Wealth Management Offices, which are located in the First Tennessee building, and refused to leave.

The three used logging chains and bicycle locks to lock themselves together, and the teen wore a large mask that depicted an investment banker.

They said the move was in protest of UBS's funding of projects that involve mountaintop removal coal mining.

Authorities charged the trio with criminal trespassing and resisting arrest.

The teen was also cited for wearing a mask.
