(WBIR-Knoxville) If you're looking for a new job this summer in Knoxville, your prospects for employment look promising.
A new survey from Manpower Employment Outlook Survey reported that Knoxville area employers plan to hire at a quick pace during the third quarter of this year.
Twenty-three percent of the companies interviewed said they plan to hire more employees between July and September, and only 6 percent plan to reduce staff. Another 71 percent of companies said they expect to maintain their current workforce levels.
Manpower said those numbers are slightly weaker than projections for this spring, but better than the same time last year.
