The dog rescued by a group of Claiborne County school children is now ready to be adopted.
In April, New Tazewell elementary students saw the dog, who they've named TNT, come out from one of the bushes on school grounds with a noticeable limp.
It turned out TNT had a broken leg, so the students started a fund to help her get surgery to repair it. They were able to raise all $3,000, but when a local doctor saw the story, he offered to do the surgery for free.
TNT is now looking for a loving forever home.
