Twelve Blount County businesses were vying for the chance to be named the most beautiful on Thursday. It was all part of the 20th Bravo Awards.
The group Keep Blount Beautiful runs the annual competition which recognizes businesses and groups in the area with the cleanest and most attractive properties. One of this year's winners was the Maryville Fire Department.
"I think it was a real thrill to the men and women of our fire department that a citizen that we serve that drives by just passes our area everyday and took the time out to nominate us for that," said Tony Crisp with the MFD.
Alcoa City Center, TC's Grill and Southwind Animal Hospital also received special recognition for each of its eco-friendly choices.
Those winners all used an existing building for their business.
