New principals appointed at some Knox Co. schools

(WBIR - Knoxville) Knox County Schools Superintendent Dr. Jim McIntyre has announced some more principal changes for the upcoming 2013-2014 school year.

Tom Brown will be principal at Gibbs High School. He currently holds that title at Holston Middle. He has worked at several other county schools over the years.

McIntyre appointed Ashley Jessie to take Brown's place at Holston.

Also, Paula Brown will be the new principal at Mount Olive elementary.

A few Knox County schools will have new principals when classes resume in the fall.

Superintendent Dr. Jim McIntyre has appointed Kim Towe to the job at Karns High School. She is currently principal at the Paul Kelley Academy, and has worked for Knox County Schools since the '80s.

Brad Corum will soon take the top job at Karns Middle. He's currently the assistant principal at West Valley.

Joe Cameron is leaving his position as assistant principal at South Doyle Middle to become principal at Gibbs elementary.
