More East Tennessee college graduates are headed out in search of new and better jobs this weekend as South College sent more than 150 students out the door with degrees.
The graduates were sent off with inspirational words from Lady Vols head coach Holly Warlick.
Today was a fulfillment of years of hard work in and outside the classroom for the men and women decked out in caps and gowns.
"I really wanted to do it for myself. I mean, I love my kids. And they help me and they influence me. And my whole family did. But I just wanted to know that I could accomplish things, and this was my accomplishment," said Steffanie Norwood, one of today's graduates.
Norwood graduated with a degree in criminal justice and said she will be taking a job with the National Park Service.
