(WBIR - Knoxville) Saturday evening, thousands of people capped off the end to Knoxville craft beer week by helping out with a charitable cause.
About 2,500 people attended the third annual Brewfest in Downtown Knoxville at the Southern Railway Depot.
Participants could sample more than 150 craft beers all the while listening to music and eating food.
Proceeds went toward finding a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a fatal disease that affect males. Organizers said they were happy to see so many people come together for the event.
"When you have the city of Knoxville as a backdrop and trains, you just really can't get any better for a beer festival," said Event Coordinator Shane McMahan. "Alot of the brewers from out of state love this venue."
