(WBIR - Powell) Second Harvest Food Bank got a boost Friday from a local organization.
The Fraternal Order of the Eagle presented the food bank with a check for $1,000. The organization raised the money through fundraisers.
Leaders say they just want to do what they can to help others.
"We do a lot of different charities for a lot of different people. Trying to help just a little bit. And that's about all you can do is just help a little bit. But you do have to try," said David Angel, past state president.
The gift is enough money to buy 3,000 meals.
