KPD identifies man shot at fast food restaurant

Update 8:28 a.m.

(WBIR-East Knoxville) A spokesman for the Knoxville Police Department says a 26-year-old Knoxville man was shot in the parking lot of an East Knoxville restaurant Tuesday night.

According to a press release, Michael Alan Andrews was treated for non life-threatening injuries following a shooting in the parking lot of Buddy's BBQ on Magnolia Avenue.

Police say they have singled out a person of interest in the shooting but have not released more details on the investigation.

(WBIR-East Knoxville) Knoxville police are investigating a shooting at a east Knoxville restaurant parking lot.

Just before 10:00 Tuesday night officers were called out to the Buddy's BBQ on Magnolia Avenue for a shooting call in the parking lot of the restaurant.

When officers arrived they spoke to several witnesses, but did not find a victim.

A short time later, the victim showed up at a Physician's Regional Emergency Room in north Knoxville.

Police were called and the victim was then taken to UT Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.

No word yet on any suspects.
