(WBIR - Nashville) Governor Bill Haslam announced Wednesday he is appointing Douglas Jenkins as the new chancellor for the Third Judicial District.
The district includes Greene, Hamblen, Hancock and Hawkins counties.
Jenkins, who is from Rogersville, has practiced law since 1995, and at Terry, Terry and Stapleton since 1997. He graduated from the Nashville School of Law in 1995.
Jenkins is replacing Thomas Frierson, who was named to the Tennessee Court of Appeals in February.
