Due to equipment problems, the Knox County Health Department was unable to spray for mosquitoes in East Knoxville Thursday night.
Spraying has been rescheduled for Sunday, July 14 between 9 p.m. and midnight, weather permitting.
(WBIR, Knoxville) The Knox County Health Department plans to conduct follow-up spraying for mosquitoes Thursday night in East Knoxville.
The health department sprayed once when West Nile Virus was found in mosquitoes around the Milligan Street area of East Knoxville. According to a release, the follow-up spraying will take place Thursday night from nine to midnight.
Signs will be posted in the affected areas to alert residents. The health department asks residents to stay inside during spraying and also keep pets inside or in the backyard.
