(WBIR - Knoxville) An armed robbery suspect injured himself while jumping over the pharmacy counter at a North Knoxville CVS Thursday evening, according to the Knoxville Police Department.

It happened at the CVS on North Broadway just before 8 p.m.

Officers say the man jumped the counter, pulled out a handgun and demanded oxycodone and Xanax. He took the pills, then jumped back across the counter, injuring himself on the landing.

The suspect is described as a thin male with a limp wearing a green hoodie, dark pants, a bandana, and glasses.
