Imagine getting the chance to help design the perfect play place, from the ground up.
That's exactly what some Maryville kids and grown-ups are doing. On Thursday, a group got together to brainstorm ideas for a multi-generational playground, that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.
The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley, Humana, and nonprofit organization KaBoom! have teamed up to build the playground.
"We have kids drawing what they want to have and we're talking to them. We're looking at the property and seeing what needs to be done, what excavation equipment will be used to move things out and how big of an area we need for prep date," said Bill Kilgore, with the Fort Craig Boys and Girls Club.
The playground build is set to start on September 21st. The project is one of 50 being built by Humana and Kaboom! across the country over the next four years.
