(WBIR - Knox County) The blended sounds of revving motorcycles and banjo filled the air Saturday at a benefit event for Knox County's Mobile Meals program.

Every penny donated at the "2 Wheels for Meals" motorcycle rally and ride will go toward providing meals for seniors in Knox County, according to Alison Taylor, Mobile Meals program manager.

Taylor said it costs a little more than $800 annually to feed one senior in Knox County.

The timing of Saturday's event worked out perfectly for one of the sponsor's Shafer insurance. It was able to host the fundraiser on its front lawn because the company already had a tent set-up on Friday when it celebrated its 50th anniversary.
