Adding some new furniture to your home or office could help someone else get a home of their own.
The Knoxville Habitat for Humanity is selling dozens of pieces of donated, gently-used furniture to help raise money for its work to help families achieve home ownership.
The furniture is set up at a warehouse in west Knoxville. Options range from a night stand for $18 to a vinyl couch for $120.
The organization says the money raised from the sale will be a tremendous help.
"Oh, it means a great deal to us. We seldom get a donation of this size and we have the potential to make several thousand dollars, hopefully up to $20,000 from the sale of this furniture. And that will go a long way toward providing a home for a needy family," said Sandy Fultz, Chief Operating Officer of Habitat for Humanity.
The sale continues tomorrow from 8:00 pm to 6:00 pm. at 1540 Amherst Road.
