An Anderson County teenager now faces several charges in an accident that killed his friend.
Evan Weaver was turning on to Norris Freeway from Andersonville Highway back in January when he lost control of the car, crossed over the concrete island and hit a truck.
Weaver was hurt and had to be airlifted to UT Medical Center. His passenger, 17-year-old Cameron Sharp, was killed. The truck driver also was hurt.
A grand jury indicted Weaver this month on vehicular homicide, reckless endangerment, reckless driving and drug possession charges.
Court documents show investigators found a glass marijuana pipe and a can of Dust Off, a refrigerant-based propellant cleaner, in Weaver's car.
