As Vol football time in Tennessee draws closer, kids are heating up the Big Orange fever with an after school celebration.

Forty-five youngsters from the Emerald Youth Foundation's Just Lead program enjoyed a Big Orange Bash on Friday.

Just Lead provides academic help and health and fitness activities for kids after school.

Friday, they had a little fun and celebrated the United Way's campaign, the new school year, and next week's kickoff for UT.

"Some kids came dressed in their orange and white," said Robin Johnson. "They're getting excited about football like the rest of the state is. We're excited over here. It was a good opportunity to have fun with it."

Kids made orange smoothies, made Power T crafts, and painted their faces. They also got to hang out with former vol Anthony Anderson. He let the kids get dressed up in his old football gear.
