The Beck Cultural Exchange center hosted a panel style discussion on the Affordable Care Act on Monday evening.
The panel is designed to inform the public on how to apply for the national health care program. The Affordable Care Act went into effect in 2010 and the supreme court upheld the law in 2012. Now key changes are coming for many people.
One volunteer says the panel was aimed to clear up any confusion people may have about the act.
"The most common mistake is they think they're not gonna be able to afford it now because they couldn't afford it in the past," said TN Healthcare Campaign volunteer Todd Shelton.
