3 former Vols on short list for College Football Hall of Fame

Three former Vols are on the ballot for the College Football Hall of Fame.

77 players and five coaches make up the the 2013 Football Bowl Subdivision Ballot for induction into the College Football Hall of Fame.  The final inductees will be announced later this year.

Defensive back Bobby Majors, linebacker Paul Naumoff and linebacker Jackie Walker are among the players on the ballot.

Bobby Majors was a Vols' defensive back in the early 70's.   He holds school records for punt returns in a career (117 for 1163 yards, 4 TDs) and season (42 for 457 yards, 2 TDs).

Paul Naumoff, was a Tennessee linebacker.  He was named First Team All-America and All-Conference in 1966, team MVP in 1966 and played in the College All-Star Game and Senior Bowl in 1967.

Jackie Walker played linebacker for the Vols.  He was First Team All-American in1970 and '71.  He set an NCAA record for career interceptions returned for TD by a linebacker (5).  He helped the Vols win the 1969 SEC Championship.
