When the Vols season ended against Texas A&M so ended the first year of siblings A.J. and Erin Simcox as "teammates."
Vols shortstop A.J. Simcox and sister Erin grew up around Tennessee's baseball program. Their father Larry was a coach for the Vols for 17 years.
Erin is a Diamond Girl. Among her duties, she collects bats and returns them to the dugout. She also retrieves foul balls. While her peers also have the same responsibilities, Erin has a vested interest in how well the shortstop does.
"It's great to be around him all the time. A lot of siblings don't see each other in college and we get to be around each other all the time," says Erin.
