NCAA Game Summary - Harvard at Princeton

Princeton, NJ (Sports Network) - Ian Hummer registered a double-double of 23 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Princeton Tigers as they defeated the Harvard Crimson, 58-53, in Ivy League action at Jadwin Gymnasium.

T.J. Bray added 14 points for Princeton (15-9, 8-2 Ivy) as it won for the third game in a row.

Steve Moundou-Missi paced Harvard (17-8, 9-2) with 15 points and eight boards. Wesley Saunders and Siyani Chambers scored 11 and 10 points, respectively as the Crimson had their four-game winning streak snapped.

Harvard came out of the gate cold to shoot just 28.6 percent from the field and miss all five of its 3-point attempts in the first half. The Tigers also missed all five of their attempts from beyond the arc before the break, but they hit on 44 percent of their field goal attempts to take a 30-24 lead into halftime.

The Crimson heated up to hit on 52.6 percent of their shots from the field after the intermission while limiting Princeton to 30.8 percent efficiency on its field goal tries. Moundou-Missi scored four consecutive points to give Harvard its first lead at 51-48 with 2:44 left to play. After a pair of lead changes, Hummer put the hosts on top for good with two makes at the charity stripe.

Princeton held a 37-24 edge in the rebounding battle which helped it net 11 second chance points. The Crimson failed to register a single second chance point and went 0-of-8 from beyond the arc in the contest.
