Tempe, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - Jahii Carson led the way with 18 points and
eight assists as the Arizona State Sun Devils dismantled the Miami-Ohio
RedHawks, 90-54, at Wells Fargo Arena.
Jermaine Marshall also netted 18 points for ASU (2-0), while Jordan Bachynski
recorded his second straight double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds to
go with four blocks. Calaen Robinson drained 3-of-4 from beyond the arc for 11
points in 11 minutes off the bench.
For Miami-Ohio (0-2), Reggie Johnson poured in a career-high 24 points on 9-
of-16 field goal efficiency. Blake McLimans scored 15 points, but the rest of
the RedHawks combined for only 15 points.
The game was tied 11-11 in the early stages of the first half, but ASU pieced
together a 20-2 run to separate itself from Miami-Ohio. The Sun Devils shot 50
percent from the field in the opening stanza, as they went into the halftime
locker room with a 41-18 lead.
ASU actually improved its field goal shooting to 61.3 percent after
intermission, and the RedHawks never got within 17 points of the lead in the
