Antone Davis was a 175 pound high school drop out in rural Georgia. The path that would lead him to Tennessee was certainly the road less traveled.
Davis earned money in his year away from school and began to eat regularly. He gained more than 100 pounds, so when truancy officers got him back in school, his football coach paid attention.
Football opened the door for Antone to attend college and become the first in his family to get an education. It also opened the door to his finances as he became a first round draft pick.
Antone told his unusual story to WBIR Sports Director Steve Phillips recently, and it aired as a three part series.
