It sounds like the Vols make look a little different this year when they first run through the T in Neyland Stadium.

According to Volquest.com, Tennessee will add outlines of the Volunteer State to the backs of its jerseys, both home and away, for the upcoming football season. The state will sit atop players' names.

There may also be some changes to the road jerseys, which could include a checkerboard effect on the numbers.

Several recruits told Volquest they were excited about the changes in their uniforms, to go along with new coach Butch Jones, who appears to be re-energizing both the team and the fan base.

Multiple recruits excitedly had told VolQuest.com about the changes that they viewed as re-energizing the Tennessee brand in recent weeks.

"Obviously at Tennessee, we have such a long, storied tradition. And there's a lot of tradition in our uniforms and we want to make sure that we keep that tradition in our uniforms intact," Jones told VolQuest.com when he was asked about the minor additions. "But there are some things that I think are important, and one of the things is that 'I Will Give My All For Tennessee Today,' so to be able to add a patch of the state of Tennessee above the individual's name is, I think, very big for us."

10News talked to fans about the change Monday, as well.  The clothing store, Alumni Hall, in West Knoxville said the jerseys had already garnered a lot of interest from fans.

"We've had plenty of people come in today, asking about the jerseys, when we're going to get them," said Alumni Hall Assistant Manager Graham Childs.

For the most part, fans said they thought the new jerseys might provide a needed spark for the Vols on the gridiron.  Many people said they were excited to see the State of Tennessee on the back of the jerseys.

"With Tennessee in the middle of it, that's even better," said Vols fan David Stiles.
