NASCAR fans got a glimpse of hometown driver Trevor Bayne on Thursday.
He's one of the drivers who came out to the annual Food City race at the Knoxville Expo Center ahead of this weekend's racing at Bristol. Proceeds go to Children's Hospital.
Bayne says it's always good to come home.
"One of my favorite times of year, get to see biggest fans," he said.
Over the last 25 years, Food City Race Night has contributed in excess of $500,000 in proceeds to area non-profits. They also made a donation of 40,000 pounds of hot dogs to Second Harvest Food Bank.
The food bank says they are excited and grateful and the food will be a big help for providing families in need with meals.
