Oakland, CA (Sports Network) - Brandon Inge continued his tear with a three-
run home run and four RBI as the Oakland Athletics crushed the Detroit Tigers,
11-4, in the second of a four-game set.
Over his past five games, Inge has homered four times, including two grand
slams, and has driven in 16 runs. He has four, four-RBI games during that time
and is the first player to accomplish that since Yankee great Lou Gehrig
turned the feat in 1931.
Joining Inge in the outburst on Friday was Josh Reddick, who went 4-for-4 with
a three-run and solo home run, five RBI and four runs scored for the
Athletics, who had lost their previous two.
Tom Milone (5-2) gave up two runs -- one earned -- on five hits with a walk
and six strikeouts over seven innings to grab the win.
Miguel Cabrera drove in a pair of runs while Rick Porcello (3-3) was touched
for four runs on nine hits with three walks and four strikeouts over five
innings for the Tigers, who have exchanged wins and losses over their past 12
